All about the eating habits of Chhote Nawab Saif Ali Khan

Saif Ali Khan is one of those actors who is well known for his disciplined and healthy lifestyle. Fitness is an integral part of his lifestyle and he does not see it as a hindrance. The actor, who turns 52 today, loves having a healthy diet and does not want to free himself from it. This, however does not mean that he is not a foodie. Let us see what are the healthy foods that the 52 year old includes in his meal on a regular basis and what are those delectable items which compel him to cheat on his diet!

Usually, Saif loves having home cooked food which includes roti, dal, sabzi, papad and dahi. He states that home made food is the key to his fitness. Even during parties, he refrains from consuming any outside food and either takes his own food or takes his meal after coming back home.

Being from a Muslim Royal Family, Saif cannot resist nonveg. He has immense love for biryani, chicken tandoori and tikka. But inspite of his love for nonveg, the actor also takes vegetarian meal once in a while to detox his system.

The actor and his wife, Kareena Kapoor share a common love for continental and chinese food. Saif says that he loves the desi chinese concept of chinese food in India, where chinese food is basically a blend of chinese and punjabi food. The Sacred Games actor also said that he loves the concept of food truck culture in India and loves eating from them.

Being a big foodie, Saif knows when and how to control his cravings. When he has to shed some kilos, he goes on a no carb and no sugar diet because he does not believe in extremely intense workouts.

For breakfast, the actor prefers to have oats, skimmed milk and fruits. He frequently takes grilled chicken and salad for lunch and dinner.
